As part of Apple’s move in launching its first radio show in Africa, the celebrity daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola was the eligible one for this first of its kind deal that watchers of entertainment industry describe as ”watershed”.
Apple announced the deal today, Thursday 28th May 2020 stating that ”Africa now radio with Cuppy”. This is to begin from Sunday and will feature a mix of traditional African sounds like Afrobeat, rap, Kuduro, house and many more.
As the face of Apple music in Africa, Cuppy won’t only entertain listeners with different generes of Africa music but she will interview musicians across Africa. This is certainly a big opportunity fro Africa to be show cased on the globe and interestingly through a woman. Women empowerment is gradually seeing the light of day.
Meanwhile weeks ago, DJ Cuppy announced her intentions of helping young talents into the limelight and this is a big opportunity to do that.
