Taaooma is a popular Nigerian comedian, cinematographer and content creator, popularly known for her comedy style of making jest of typical Nigerian mothers.
She is one of the fastest-growing comedians in Nigeria, with more than 1 million followers in less than 2 years of hitting the limelight. She has also been severally featured with Mr Macaroni, who sometimes acts as the father of the house in her videos.

Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam was born on the 27th of February, 1999 in Ilorin, Kwara State. She grew up at Ilorin, where she also had her early primary education before relocating to Abuja. She completed her secondary education at Concordia College Namibia. She returned back to Nigeria for her tertiary education, gaining admission into Kwara State University.
In 2019, she graduated from Kwara State University with a Bachelors degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management. She did her mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2020, serving at Ogun State.
Entertainment Career
Taaooma began her entertainment career in 2015. According to her, she never intended going into comedies, but her boyfriend, Greene Abdulazeez, a popular Nigerian video director advised her into doing so after discovering the comedy talent in her.
She is known for acting as a Nigerian mother in her comedy skits. The comedy skit that shot her into the limelight was “When your mom drives you to school”.
Personal Life
Apaokagi Adedoyin Maryam's stage name, 'Taaooma' is an abbreviation of her names 'Taaoo Mayam Apaokagi'. She is also a devoted Muslim, hence, she is always seen tying a scarf/covering her hair in her skit and in public.
Taaooma is currently in a relationship with Greene Abdulazeez, a popular Nigerian video director.
Awards and Recognitions
In 2019, Taaooma won the “Best Online Comedian of the year” award at the Gage awards. See also made it to the PMNewsNigeria.com's list of the Top 25 Under-30 Nigerian Superstars. She was the number '15' in the list.
