Omah Lay has hit a new milestone after his ‘Bad Influence’ song became the most streamed African song on Audiomack.
Audiomack is a music streaming and audio discovery platform that allows artists and creators to upload music and podcasts for listeners through its mobile apps and site. According to Africa Facts Zone the 2020 hit song amassed a total of 36.1 million streams on Audiomack to achieve the historic feat.
The young singer alerted his teeming fans on the refreshing development on his Twitter platform by writing; “Bad Influence #1 streamed song on @AppleMusic Nigeria 2020!!” he captioned t he post.
Omay Lay was in the news recently when he bore the brunt of angry Twitter users after he singled out Wizkid and Burna Boy for special praises following their Grammys exploit recently.
Burna Boy won a Grammy Award for Best Global Music Album while his compatriots Wizkid also won a Grammy for his collaborative effort with Beyonce on the Lion King: the Gift album at the 63rd edition of the prestigious award scheme held on March 14, 2021 at Los Angeles Convention Center.
While reacting to news of their triumph, Omah Lay- real name Stanley Omah Didia said the Grammy win of the duo has opened the doors as it is not just a win for Afrobeats but for Africa in general.
Moreover, he shared photos of the aforementioned stars with a caption stating that both Burna and Wizzy are the wallpapers of his phone.
